This image has been created from a wooden boule. The coloured circles are arranged as if viewing a game of pétanque from above. The winning shot is that of the red boule. The alternating layers of the wood grain can be seen. The resolution of the scan gives the circles a hazy appearance so that they appear planet-like. The jack represents a sun.
